Aso Oke is a cloth produced in Nigera, Africa that is worn on special occasions by the Yoruba (usually for chieftancy, festivals, engagement, naming ceremony and other important events). The process for making aso one cloth has been the same for centuries and is a hallmark of Yoruba culture. This vintage fabric has been sourced directly from the makers themselves in Nigeria.

All sizes are located in the title of the listing and are exact measurements so you can ensure the rug will fit snugly in your wonderful home.
Antique rugs need periodic care to ensure they stay beautiful for generations. The wool of older vintage rugs tend to be rich in natural lanolin, which has amazing stain-resistant properties. Daily or weekly cleaning can be accomplished with a non-electric sweeper rather than a suction vacuum cleaner. Please avoid treatments such as moth-proofing, dry cleaning or steam cleaning. Instead, have your rug hand-washed or tumbled by a professional oriental carpet cleaner every five to six years.
